Being a creative person is amazing, and especially when working with clients who need your creativity. But putting a lot of creative energy and hours into projects can be demanding and stressful. Very often creativity does not go hand in hand with productivity and structure. You can’t force yourself to be creative. It is a state of mind, an energy flow that allows you to experiment and see new possibilities.
We are creative people ourselves and have struggled, like many others, with the day-to-day chores that come with running our business. Managing new inquiries, sending out proposals, making sure you get paid and much more. They are all the daily struggles that have a big impact on being creative. We said to each other; it’s time for change. It’s time for a tool that gives you an extra pair of hands to run your creative business more efficiently.

That is why we started Octoa. A tool that helps you with the daily business activities required to run a creative business. These things are unavoidable, but at least we want to make it more efficient and enjoyable. Because it doesn’t have to be stressful and chaotic.
We’ve worked hard the last couple of years to create a tool that makes it easy for creative people to manage their business, clients, proposals, invoices and projects. We created something that we use ourselves, but that doesn’t mean it’s perfect from the start. So, our journey starts here. By shaping, building, designing and creating the tool together.
